Frank Fisher is nothing. He wants to be something. When bonnie, a mysterious, chain-smoking “muse,” offers assistance by injecting seeds of inspiration directly into his brain through a festering wound, his world is changed forever. In “Tyranny of the Muse,” the couple find themselves on a twisted path littered with addiction, self-loathing, fear and surreal romance. Through it all, they rely only on each other as they endlessly search for the endlessly elusive “somethingness.”
Tyranny of the Muse features words by Eddie Wright and art by Jesse Balmer, based on Wright’s novella Broken Bulbs.
Eddie Wright is a writer from New Jersey. He likes chips, rock n roll and horror. In addition to Tyranny of the Muse, he is working on several other projects including a new novel and more comics.
Jesse Balmer was born in San Juan Capistrano, California in 1987. He has been drawing since before he can remember, which was really only much-less-than-the-blink-of-an-eye ago on the geologic time scale. He now resides in San Francisco, California where his dignity remains intact for now.
